I just wish the almshouse had been more clear about their intent to sell it earlier. fair enough they can't take the hit on insurance. but also the experts who examined it at Sotheby's I thought would have been against it leaving the country? I'm really lost what's going on, all seems a bit weird

It’s been a while coming (bloody Covid) but the Jervoise collection was one of the most rewarding archives I’ve ever worked on. The illustration shows a page from the accounts recoding the work every day of each labourer employed on the estate.
