I have a specific creator muted on Ao3 because what they are into and keep writing about is not my jam. Clearly it brings the writer joy and others might enjoy it even if it’s not for me. Why would I be a dick to them or about them?
i don't understand why, if you don't like a particular trope or character or ship, you don't just ... avoid it? there are things i don't like to read, preferences i have. if someone else writes about it, i skip or back out if it's not tagged. just bc you don't like cilantro doesn't mean no one can
