Even Hoover didn’t crash it this fast. But he was close. Hoover also thought slapping tariffs would work. You know another who also did? William McKinley. Crashed it so hard 50% unemployed. Do we remember what happened to McKinley is 1901?
Now, I’m not an economist but if tariffs are going to be a boon to the US economy, the markets should be exploding in green ink.
