Not deranged - insulting. He thinks we're stupid enough to be manipulated by this ridiculous 'fear' he didn't even put any effort into cooking up.

He'd have declined anyway, now Jared Kushner presented THIS at Davos as the "Board of Peace" plan for Gaza. Does this look like a humanitarian effort to rebuild a homeland? It's now clear that this is a craven bid for shareholders in a scheme to make Gazans vassals on their own stolen land

We might be able to pick off quite a few this way

Oh I'm not so sure, Charlie. I knew an upper-level bureaucrat whose solution to any real thorn in his side (especially lobbyists & consultants) was always to hire them 😂 -- instant deactivation. So maybe a nice invitation to cross the floor, sweetened by a little post where he can't do any harm?

Hey, @chrislhayes.bsky.social maybe THIS is what we gave him (possibly with a name change to Trump Island?) unric.org/en/the-whisk...
The Whiskey War: How Denmark and Canada Used Diplomacy to Solve a Territorial Conflict
Did you know that Denmark and Canada were involved in a light-hearted territorial dispute that lasted nearly 50 years? From 1973 to 2022.

The inability of almost EVERYONE in the US to grasp what any non-American actually thinks is staggering! It's European 'feelings' about Greenland that is the determining factor. #NotAlwaysAboutYou

I really want to "like" this, but I'm afraid of going to Hell 😂

Trump can threaten all he wants. We're brave, smart & honourable -- but above all, I've concluded that 'stubborn' is our superpower 😂 💪

You're right (& great show tonight). But you still don't quite get it. Allies are not 'becoming aware' that Trump is an existential danger, we've known it since Day One. But your allies' job was to keep things calm, while the US fixed its mess (in which it failed spectacularly). So now we move on
January 21, 2026 at 5:39 AM
The arrogance! World leaders took it on the chin to keep the ship of foreign relations & trade afloat, so you could get your dysfunctional house & POTUS in order. But the US failed spectacularly, killed the old order (as PM Carney made clear today) & we're moving on. Give your kneepads to Congress

The once-great Washington Post has surrendered its grip. The New York Times knows what the headline should be
January 21, 2026 at 12:54 AM
So sad -- the once-great Washington Post now has no clue. Canada has no choice, will have no regrets, and it's laughable to think we'd make a major trade deal to 'troll'. A perfect mirror of this administration, which can only see its own reflection, with the exception of its own fault in all this.

Well, Stephen, even half of the rest of NATO (without Turkey & Hungary) is enough to take on the US, especially on home turf and when your strength is split around the hemisphere. Unlike you, we DO understand loyalty. And unbelievably, people in 🇨🇦 are actually starting to talk about civil defence.
January 6, 2026 at 2:36 PM
Careful, though. I applaud the motivation, but there's a very thin line between preparedness and vigilantism, and it's all too easy to slide into feeling renegade action is justified, but that actually undermines what we're trying to defend. Remember all the deluded Americans on Jan 6.
