Strange fault today. #Denon “receiver” caused a Wi-Fi to LAN adaptor to stop working. Fault-finding took much longer than it should have done, but eventually powering down the Denon box, waiting five minutes, and powering back up fixed the issue. Hope I remember this for next time!

I have the TwoNav Terra, which was on offer from the Met Office. Probably more than you want or need. I’ve also played with the LoRa device - Wio tracker L1 Pro - but not found it too reliable except in pure outdoor use. Cheaper, though!

On the issue of Pres Trump allegation that paracetamol can cause autism, it’s worth noting that, as the Health Secretary Wes Streeting says, a major study carried out last year in Sweden, involving 2.4 million children, didn’t support this suggestion.

I updated this iPad and most things still seem to work OK. Closing down an app can now take more strokes (no “x” in the top right corner!) but I can see times when having multiple apps visible might be helpful. I’m guessing that “glass” will be forced on users, so best to get to know it now.

Does EUMETview include NOAA-20 and 21? I recall it had some polar as well as geostationary. Those must-do projects can get in the way of the more interesting things!

You can create views of your own using the EUMETview tool - it’s free for non-commercial use. You have to register. Here’s one I created just now:
