🚀 Excited to share the release of G’MIC-GEGL (v0.1.0)!
This brings over 1,500 G’MIC commands directly into the GEGL framework, meaning G’MIC filters can be used inside any GEGL-based apps.
Kudos to Łukasz Grabski, developer of RasterFlow who made it possible!

Finalizing the new GEGL-wrapped GMIC plugins! 🚀

github.com/flatscrew/gm...

Everything is almost fully working, and since they’re standard GEGL ops, they’ll work smoothly with GIMP as well.

Release coming soon to all major OS's.

New filter in G’MIC-Qt: ▶️ Degradations / Offset Stripes ◀️ , a playful glitch effect that chops your image into stripes and shifts them around randomly.

You can even enable per-channel offsets for more chromatic chaos!

Here are a few examples with different settings and glitch moods ↓

Susan, a long-time G’MIC user, just surprised us with a beautiful set of bird postcards, each one processed with her favorite G’MIC filters! Always amazing to see how the community uses algorithms to create art. 🐦 Thanks so much Susan! 😍

Apparently, G'MIC is now available on the Snap Store! I'm not a big fan of Snap, but if it helps users install G'MIC more easily, that’s definitely great news! 👍

And the logical next step, of course, is the implementation of the ‘object3d_normal’, which renders the object's normalmap!
Done! 😋

I just added the ▶️ object3d_depth◀️ command to the G'MIC standard library. It allows to draw a 3D object in an image, in the form of a depth map. It can always come in handy!
