Except for that one tiny document the Arizona Secretary of State must sign under A.R.S. § 16-648 — the Certificate of Election — which the U.S. House Clerk literally can’t seat a member without.

Probably because he had already been given a sweetheart of a (NPA) deal by Alex Acosta in 2009 the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida at the time. Bill McCollum was Florida Attorney General.

Az IS the problem, they have until the 3rd Monday following a special election to certify; since that Monday is a holiday they will certify on the 14th. According to the states website.

The office notes that she cannot be sworn in until the state certifies the special election results. No law in Az that says it cannot be done earlier than the 3rd Monday following that election but must be done BY then. It still hasn’t been done as of today
