I've been thinking about this for a while and there is one, inescapable conclusion: ham sandwiches have to be the guiltiest looking motherfuckers around. They're getting indicted right and left while Tish James is over here 0 for 2.

I've had to just turn them off for everybody. And haven gotten used to it this way, I'd like to be able to turn them *on* for a very small/select group of people. 😅

My absolute favorite part of Halloween is giving out candy to kids and asking them about their costumes. Three year olds loudly declaring that they’re PIE-DUH-MAN is a well of joy that never runs dry.

Right, that's what I meant, not that it's "for kids" but that I had a lot more patience (and time) back then and I would have that connection to get me through. I can't imagine reading the LoTR books for the first time right now, for instance. But I devoured them when I was eleven and still reread.

I’m not sure why I never read them in my youth. I saw them all the time in bookstores and libraries. I’m sure if I did, I would’ve loved them too. But man, I really did keep going much longer than I’m normally would have just because I know they’re so beloved.

That was not a complaint! In fact, the *only* tiny whinge I have is not having the other voice actors in the show notes. I recognized Herring’s voice, didn’t know the rest, and had to replay the credits at the end a couple of times to get their names.
But truly - I enjoyed and can’t wait for ep. 2
