Also, people did not stop posting porn on tumblr after the ban. They stopped tagging. You can take fire and gasoline to a site and porn will still be there, now just out there without any protections that used to make it safe to navigate

i don't have the perfect, flawless answer all but i feel the best option is to just just give users the freedom to post their content as well as having tools to appropriately tag / blacklist sensitive media. people don't like certain content? they can blacklist it and never see those posts.
