Imagine being an alien and parading as a cop; convisvating money, drugs, donuts and a bunch of other things from businesses that could potentially be doing crime. I say, it's a win/win.

Yeah corporations (the people that own them) are highly inconsiderate and (as they always have, i.e oil spills, polution, fracking, global warming) do not care about public safety, insofar as their concern for public safety is not a conditional excuse to control user behavior and censor the public.
