I think what matters more is that the company who indie artists utilize has good ethics that are in line with independent musicians goals

She’d be following over a million accounts, I don’t think she’d be able to interact much

#1 has to be No Country for Old Men or Fargo.. I’d put Barton Fink at the bottom of the top 10. Inside Llewyn Davis is better, so is raising Arizona, blood simple, o brother where art thou, a serious man, big Lebowski, and burn after reading - so I’m gonna put Barton Fink at #10.

Yeah great point - and I think that’s the takeaway people should have from the Beatles. It doesn’t matter how you can play - if you apply your utmost creativity and collaboration, you can make fantastic art

I feel like the Beatles get credit for exploring the rock genre in many different ways, which other artists later explored further, and thus genres like metal, punk and experimental pop were born

Nobody tells you that the talent in your local scene is oftentimes on par with pro touring acts

Apple Music is pretty great, the user face is super intuitive and it’s very sleek. It, like Spotify, has every song ever lol

I wish there was a way to organize a massive exodus from Spotify

Without question Fountains of Wayne. Never have I heard such a great band reduced to one song. Incredible songwriters and album artists. It’s a shame they don’t get the credit they deserve

The guitar player in my band used to have a show house and krill, pile and Kal marks would play there.. what a time to be alive

@eisrecords.bsky.social exploding in sound is such an underrated label

Pile is the best band from that era of the Boston music scene

Metallica - the black album
Metallica - master of puppets
Megadeth - rust in peace
Slayer - reign in blood
Anthrax - among the living
Pantera - vulgar display of power
Testament - practice what you preach

Most underrated band of the 90s
