If I listen to the bass line I can hear #3 as you describe it - the low A feels like an upbeat to the D. But when I do that, the beat seems really off, and the word rhythm of “mo-NEY” on beats 2+ doesn’t fit for me. So I keep going back to #1

The article says US Atty Thompson “added that the state murder charges remain in place, he expects federal charges will be handled first, but state charges will remain in place.” – I think this means even if the Feds botch the case or pardon him, he is still on the hook in MN? is that right?
