Most of the philosophy I engage with in my work on logical empiricism is now written in English by non-native speakers. Even after all these years I find reading philosophical German a slog and writing it would be nearly impossible. I think my non-native English speaking colleagues dealing amazing.

"…the time non-native English speakers (NNES) reported needing to read English-language papers was twice as long as the time reported by native English speakers (NES)...Nearly 50% of NNES said they had at some point felt ridiculed for their English (e.g., because of their accent or pronunciation)."

In the second half of the twentieth century, Bayesians began to hold that they had a solution to the problem of induction. What is this solution exactly, what does it tell us about the problem of induction, and does the solution work? You can find out in my new paper!

Chloé de Canson, Bayesianism and the Inferential Solution to Hume’s Problem - PhilPapers
I examine Howson’s alluring suggestion that Bayesianism, by supplying a logic of inductive inference—conditionalisation—solves the problem of induction. I draw on his historical heritage, especially H...

You're too kind! I remember some of the conversations fondly and hope that, one fine day, I'll actually be able to appreciate your work as it should be:)

Scho' recht.
