Onikakushi/Tsumihoroboshi spoilers in alt tex

Ooishi mentions in Onikakushi that prior to the incident she was alone with three male friends and that something happened that caused her to snap and beat them up with a baseball bat. Ooishi also says he tried to interview the guys about the incident but they didn't wanna talk about it and how neither them nor the school wanted press charges.

Then there is her whole thing with her feeling 'sinful' and impure, the maggots, her removing the icky 'i' from her name. There is alot more like how she relates her mothers infidelity and resulting pregnancy to her own 'sinfulness' and how Rina, a sexworker, manages to trigger her old trauma.

And I might add I think it's a genuinley brilliant move on Ryukishi's part that this is never elaborated on in Tsumihoroboshi, but it fits in SO NEATLY with the rest of her backstory and the way her trauma materializes and how she chooses to deal with it. It's harrowing stuff

I really 'love' the strong underlying implication that her mental episode in Ibaraki was caused by an attempted sexual assult by the three guys she beat up and that both the guys and the school is trying to sweep the incident under the rug and ofc Ooishi ready this as them being silenced because she mentioned Oyashiro in the medical records and thus it must be related to the fucking murders and Keiichi eats that shit up.
