I think it's so charming that in like 80% of wym's promotional art kyoujis mouth is hanging wide open. she needed to make sure when he finally smiles you get kicked in the throat by it. so in comparison this one is like a soothing breeze. I also look at this thing multiple times a day at my desk

it seems so silly that I'm this sentimental about it but I really cannot overstate how much using my pomera has like completely reignited my process and approach to writing. I could have achieved this with a Chromebook for like a quarter of the price though lol

all roads lead back to Cassius to be honest because I literally started writing my karaiko fic because I was like "oh this would be good to work through for when I eventually get around for cassius/sublime writing" before the Disease took over. so much of my life leads back to my big fucking cat man

The last month and a half had felt fake. Like a trick. Like Kyouji was warming up for a grand departure, like he had all that time ago. Like he was sticking around only until Satomi's heart had healed from his time with Wada. He was close, and familiar, and affectionate, but he didn't stay. He thought, briefly, of the stray Wada had described him as. Satomi lifted his chair and scooted closer to Kyouji. He leaned over, pressed his cheek to Kyouji's jacketed shoulder. "Sleepy?" Kyouji asked, between mouthfuls. Happy, he wanted to say. The thought frightened him. It worried him to think that if he said it Kyouji would see it as some sort of sign. He fisted the crinkly material of Kyouji's windbreaker and shifted closer. Their backs were to the stall. He kissed Kyouji's neck, just below his Adam's apple, kissed the hollow of his throat. "Not sleepy," he said, finally, against Kyouji's skin. With his free hand, Kyouji curled his arm around his shoulder. "Feed me."

I'm so happy to be finally done with my rewrite you would not believe. but now I have to remember how to write again. anyway thankfully I've got the equivalent of a beach episode lined up next (surely nothing bad or tense or fraught will happen with them alone in the mountains)
"We've got a timeshare. Me and the boys. In the mountains," Kyouji said, as he watched Satomi pour out exactly 100 grams of water. "It's my turn, come spring. Usually real nice that time of year. Right before you start to get eaten alive by bugs." Satomi nodded along. Kyouji wrapped his finger around his pinky. "Could have you up with me. Make it a long weekend." He squeezed around Satomi's knuckle. "Or a week, maybe." Satomi barely heard what he said past the first sentence. His blood rushed to his ears. The timer beeped. He tore his hand away and swallowed, harsh and loud. "I'll see if I can get the time off if you give me the days." And then, as he set the kettle down, as he pressed his palm tentatively over Kyouji's hand, said: "I can do five days. Maybe six, if I can do some paperwork on the drive up. It depends how busy it is." "Alright." He smiled. It made him look twenty years younger. Bashful. "Y'gonna give me a good morning kiss now, Satomi-kun?"
