1. I adore how Kaufman's brain works & I do prefer the original script ending over the film ending. But the way this film plays with storytelling/visuals while always staying true to the heart of the story is brilliant.

2. Christopher McQuarrie's directorial debut has a brilliant opening, the smartest car chase ever seen on film, and trusts the audience enough to not spell everything out for you. My fav comp when pitching my own scripts.

3. This movie spoke to my little goth, sci-fi obsessed teenage heart in a way nothing else ever could. Saw it in theaters when it came out and like Keanu said - "Woah".
