It's fixed! I really hope I don't jinx it.

It worked that day, but is my bluesky fixed or was that a fluke. Another old piece, my profile picture. I remember I tired doing both fast stuff and proper rendering. There are several problems with it like the eye/lid, arms, and thumb.

Another test. Bluesky asked permission on some kind of image file and I said yes, hopefully that was somehow the issue.

And both of them are getting corrupted or something as far as I can tell. Wonderful.

Holy guacamole on a sandwich, I hope those are proxies Batman. Because if not they must be as rich as Bruce Wayne!

Only downside with Tayam is that I can't for the life of me make a Bracket 3 version. I have a strong B4 with 0 GC, and I can't play it anywhere because it's almost cEDH and to strong. I want to focus on Tayam which is hard since they're a magnet for infinites which I don't want in my B3 version.

Baloths - One of my first magic cards and with a Deckbuilder's Toolkit I won my first ever game of magic with it.
Tayam - Can do everything I love except counterspell. Creature/Permanent based; Heavy on Dorks; Toolbox; Reanimator; Instant Speed; Unique Player Expression in Playing and Deck Building.

My Bluesky just might be broken with images. Basically.
Infinite Combos based on typical turn assembled, not card count.
Threaten Win - Typical Win - Slow Win besides Stall
B1 Ultra Casual 11-13-15<
B2 Casual 9-11-13
B3 High Power Casual 7-9-11
B4 High Power not typically Casual 5-7-9
B5 cEDH >3-5-7

My screenshot doesn't appear to be working. Here's what I put together.

Maybe not the biggest problem, but bracket expectations. Something to help players know what they're aiming for. Gavin quickly mentioned turn count in the What Are Brackets video for B2 (5:10) and B3 (5:50).
I expanded on his statement for myself on each bracket a while ago because I'm very literal.

I've been looking into swapping Windows to Linux the past couple days and had to take a double take because I almost thought you posted about Arch Linux.

I think this supports my theory that most EDH players actually want to play in Bracket 2, not 3, and some see playing anything stronger as a betrayal to what the format stands for. And those players are to proud to say they want low power games, there isn't anything wrong with playing low power EDH.

When Mystic Mine was legal, everyone was siding these cards you need to top deck because you couldn't win otherwise. Sometimes there are cards in archetype that can work, myself at the time in D/D playing 2x Dark Contract with the Witch. But most interactions, and the best cards, are creatures.

For people who want tangible examples. Knightmare Phoenix (or SP) is Sage, Mystical Space Typhoon or alike is Disenchant. Phoenix is easily accessible to those who want to commit the resources (creatures to sacrifice). MST costs nothing but you have to hard draw it.
March 9, 2025 at 10:31 PM
And even if you were, you can't search for Disenchant, you'll have to top deck it. Their deck can't/isn't built to take advantage of powerful creatures, so although they're slower then most, the tortoise will beat the hare if the tortoise broke the hares kneecaps and needs to wait for them to heal.
March 9, 2025 at 10:25 PM
But very rarely you'll play against someone who has Humility/Skill Drain, which they can play on turn 1. Now your Sage is useless because it can't get it's ETB, and you probably aren't running Disenchant because you already got that effect covered in Sage.
March 9, 2025 at 10:23 PM
In YGO Sage would be easily accessible and give you a body to use as a resource for your actual combo plays, so you may play Sage even if you aren't trying to pop anything because it fits into the combo line anyways or as a just in case type card. So Sage is much better then Disenchant.
March 9, 2025 at 10:22 PM
YGO is Creature based, some decks aren't, most are. Creatures are accessible or tutorable while most spells/instants aren't. Using as direct of a comparison as I can in terms of effect. Reclamation Sage verse Disenchant.

YGO has taken terms from MTG it should have like Trample, or shouldn't have like Deck Type Names. And yet we don't call "Stax" cards Stax, we have a unique name for them.
