I'm having a blast editing the talk I had with the legendary @stephenrbissette.bsky.social, author of CRYPTID CINEMA, about the history of Gorilla Suits in Cinema, for the upcoming release of THE DEVIL BEAR.

The upcoming Blu-ray release of THE DEVIL BEAR will feature two wildly different improvised scores you can choose from: One score was performed on the piano by Emily Decloux, and the other score is a multi-instrument soundscape by Andrew Shenkman.

WARNING: This film features a very devilish gorilla who does things like look through a window to peep on a woman as she gets changed.

The Devil Bear (1929) is a silent, independent Canadian film that never received a release. The version included on the upcoming Blu-ray is a new scan, without intertitles, as it's believed they were removed in preparation for making the film a talkie.
