BMA and particularly @goldstone-tony.bsky.social have done some good work there - but fundamentally accountants can't change the law. If you do private practice there are some (limited) routes to move things, but for pure NHS folk like me the accountant advice is just to do less work!

I hadn't realised Dr Goldstone has made it here - just using his great tool which has given me some unpleasant warnings - well worth a look as there's still time to reduce large tax charges.

Hi John - if you look on page 1/2 it should explain that this DOESNT include 23/24 which will be sent as a seperate pension saving statement as part of the business as usual process (except its running VERY late).
As to your RPSS which only goes to 22/23.......

I will add an actual LTFT in the next video but see example below where I have changed it to 80% - this shows the 2015 actual pay in line 12, and the WTE pay in line 14

Per the video, the link is just for full timers to stop the need to enter twice. If WTE and actual different, you need different value for each in 95/08 (WTE) vs 15 (actual)

Amazing! Thanks for the sheet. Confirms my back-of-envelope attempt at it (very -ve 23/24, very +ve 24/25 😬). Small typo in cell A10 on the 23/24 sheet - should be Mar 24 pens pay? Also can you check that 24/25 estimates added years correctly? E12 on 23/24 and E19 on 24/25 are diff with added yr.
