The Stranger Things finale made one thing clear: this was never pure horror. More fairy tale than nihilism. About friendship, storytelling, and D&D mythology. You can critique pacing or stakes, but as an ending about loss and legacy—it worked for me.

Just watched Stranger Things S5 and I’m torn on the backlash. Some critiques are fair, but a lot feels like what happens when a small genre show becomes big over years, pandemics & strikes included. Love the lore & science. Now one episode left it’s too early to call it a failure. Where do you land?

Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday teaser finally dropped. Steve Rogers in the ’40s, quiet imagery, then a title card. No story, no stakes — just nostalgia. Feels less like a tease and more like reassurance that the old guard is coming back.

Watched the trailer for Dracula and it feels like a near beat-for-beat echo of Bram Stoker’s Dracula — tragic origin, lost wife, reincarnated love. Coppola invented that to humanize Dracula. Reusing it here just feels hollow.
