Granted, it is a bit more jarring now to hear those, they do stand out. But I lost count of films where they quote something just once, and it is one of those.
I saw Locked the other day, trifecta of Tolstoy, Evgeny Onegin, and Tchaikovsky)

I was not arguing about merits per se (at first), as you remember, I first asked why they are quoted so much more than the western authors.

The very fact that you know about these books is due to propaganda about mysterious Russian soul in the first place though. The fact that the book about a guy killing a grandma with an axe is considered a masterpiece - that is on the readers)
I read war and peace in Russian btw (was forced on us)

The very fact that it is so deep inside the western culture shows the success of propaganda. But Tolstoy cup is next level thing, instead of all the great writers of the western civilization they chose the boring Russian, that is a bit funny)

And our home from is quite fine this season, even the recent relative wobble is away (second half with wolves aside)

I'm not convinced their run in is that much better than ours actually.
They played city and Tottenham, we played forest and Bournemouth. Plus even if we lose on Sunday, we will have 7 home games and only 4 aways
