I'd read the news.

I read stories to escape from reality, and want the MC's unlikely friend group to defeat the big bad with the power of magic, friendship, anime bullshit, and the guns they found along the way!

If I wanted a story about how the uncaring evil barely-human highly powerful entities cannot be stopped,

I was quite annoyed when a story I read had the MC's great plan to get revenge on the evil deity that had been messing with her life for as long as she could remember boiled down to "Could you please bend down so we can boop your nose a bit harder than you would want?"

I honestly prefer stories with active-but-limited gods. Like, they are highly interested in the goings on of the mortal world, but won't or can't smite the followers of rival gods.

Well, as long as they aren't all secretly evil. Or if they are, not have them be untouchable.

I am now thinking about Breath of the Wild.

Most of the knowledge on dungeon raising is carefully preserved by a studiously politically neutral guild of....

Dungeon Masters.

Dungeons happen in an area where rule 2 has been repeatedly broken in a rather short time, and function as a monster sink. It's more likely that a monster will spawn in a dungeon than an alleyway. People know this, and have developed techniques and spells to encourage and direct dungeon creation.

You know what Imma text dump my idea for dungeons.

So, monsters just pop into existence every so often, but:

1. Never where people can see, and

2. Only in places where a monster could have gotten to.

While rule 1 has never been broken, rule 2 can be broken if monsters are prevented from spawning

Right? I want the most interesting thing to happen is that some small town re-elected a dog as their mayor!

Politics-wise, at least. I do want interesting computer games to happen.

Speaking of games, I've been really sucked in by this colony management game called Timberborn.

You got this little group of beavers that you need to keep fed and happy and you can build dams!

Biting is how I be happy.

When was the last time you replaced the thermal paste? My computer started acting weird and it was because the paste dried out and my cpu was overheating.

Hey if it makes you happy.

I would be very interested in reading aforementioned comic.

I've always wanted the weapon conjuration and armour alteration spells to last a lot longer, but penalise your max magika and magika regen while active.

Dunno how exp would work, tho.

I would argue that soup is hot and mostly liquid. So if you warmed the milk beforehand, then it would be soup.

Oatmeal is stew.

So since there are tooth faeries, are there bone faeries?
