The issue is not that the data paint a different picture from many people's lived experience. It's that Will is telling people they should ignore their lived experiences and those of their friends and loved ones *because* the data paint that different picture. 1/

I liked Rogue One because it was an homage to old WW2 movies. I didn't like Solo as much because it was heavy-handed "explaining" some origins ("Oh you're alone; Han Solo" (get it?)), but ignored the more interesting (imo) story about how Han became a slave to the crime lord in the first place.
