Depression is an old “friend” who really doesn’t like you or want what’s best for you, but loves to show up at the least convenient time. I keep letting it in the door for old times sake.

When humans started living in cities, arson became a crime against the community. Arson can destroy public and private infrastructure on a massive scale. It’s why power utilities in Colorado are trying to get immunity for wildfires they start.

One of my colleagues lost her home in the Marshall fire. It burned just shy of 1,000 structures on 12/31/2022. We live quite a ways away, and we were across the street from an evacuation zone.

29-year-old Florida man has been arrested in connection with the Palisades fire. I have to be honest - I am firmly against the death penalty - but if you knowingly start a wildfire - you should be put under the jail for the rest of your life.
