This was my first introduction to Warhammer 40,000, one of my cousins had Codex: Space Wolves (2nd ed) and the background and art for Bjorn the Fellhanded was amazing.

Battletech justifies its 'LOS combat only' by saying all mechs and combat vehicles are pumping out vast amounts of jamming and ECM so you have to be able to get a gun-cam lock to even shoot most weapons.
