If you just want hearing protection (no audio) the 3M Pletor in ears come in 3-4 sizes and are tight enough to protect your ears at shooting ranges. Maybe this covers concerts and loud spaces as well? No custom fitting needed in my experience …

I cannot work like this anymore and the price - as you wrote - is distance from the code. A lack of a mental model and a loss of accountability. It’s also a different job, really. On the other hand speed is a fantastic benefit. But I am still feeling this as a huge and emotional loss of a practice.

I am in the same boat now but I def was not a strong day 1 believer like antirez wrote he is. I still have serious issues with the politics of AI but it’s clear now that programming has changed forever. Some things are gone now and that’s sad but all in all it’s a tremendous upside & unlock (for me)
