OK! I'm selling some reader sets of Chris Claremont-era X-Men. These are low-grade copies, reprints, etc.--I mean it, they're meant for READING--but they're also accompanied by some really fun bonuses (annuals, specials, relevant issues of other titles). Full descriptions in the alt text...
Set A: 20 issues, $60. Classic X-Men 1-16 (reprinting X-Men #94-105, 107-109, and part of Giant-Size X-Men 1, plus new Claremont-written stories set during those, and a few new pages added to the main story in each issue; #106 and 110 are not reprinted because they were both fill-in issues) Marvel Milestone Edition: Giant-Size X-Men 1 (so you can read the entirety of that issue, as well as the older stories reprinted in it!) Giant-Size X-Men 4 (includes a short Claremont/Rick Leonardi story that takes place during X-Men 94) Marvel Team-Up Annual 1 (starring Spider-Man and the X-Men) Marvel Tales 262 (reprinting Marvel Team-Up #53, in which John Byrne draws the X-Men for the first time, plus a short new story that smooths over the gnarly continuity problem of where this and the MTU Annual can possibly take place--the answer is "between pages of X-Men #101/Classic X-Men #9, while Jean is hospitalized--she has to get OUT of the hospital, go on some adventures in the Southwest, then go back to the hospital!") SET D: 22 issues, $66 The Uncanny X-Men in Days of Future Past (reprinting X-Men #141 and Uncanny X-Men #142) X-Men Classic 47 (reprinting Uncanny X-Men #143) Marvel Chillers: The Pryde and Terror of the X-Men (a sort of middle-grade adaptation of Uncanny X-Men #143? it's weird) Uncanny X-Men 144-153 (be warned: these are SERIOUSLY beater copies) ROM 17-18 (also very beaten up; Claremont consulted on the X-Men's appearances!) Marvel Two-in-One 68 (a Thing/Angel team-up that sets up Uncanny X-Men 145) X-Men Annual 5 Avengers Annual 10 (a TOTALLY thrashed copy, but it's the real thing; despite only featuring a cameo appearance by the X-Men themselves, this issue is always reprinted with the X-Men comics of this period, and... you'll see why; also it's great) Marvel Fanfare 1-4 (a really fun Spider-Man/X-Men story set during this period, with art by Michael Golden, Dave Cockrum and Paul Smith)
