Dear NY Times, a “loophole” implies a mistake or ambiguity in a rule that leads to unintended results. Calling the $800 exemption a loophole is an endorsement of Trump’s decision to revoke it. Just say Trump is costing consumers money by revoking a longstanding exemption, without editorializing.

I used exactly this prompt and it evaded the question 8 different times with follow-up questions before creating a fake link to a chart it clearly had not created. When I pointed out that the link didn’t work, it finally made this:

Whoa! I thought there was next to no chance of a deal to exclude the US from Pillar 2, even within the G7. Getting rid of 899 is good news. Probably not great news for the future of multilateral tax cooperation, but electing Trump in the first place probably put the nail in that coffin. #TaxSky
