When you live at northern latitudes — like me, at latitude 63 — it gets really dark this time of year. That’s why the winter solstice is such a big deal: it’s the turning point when the days finally start getting longer again. The image shows how many days are left right now. 😀

Last night we had some amazing northern lights! 🌌
Even with the almost full moon, they were still easy to see — and absolutely beautiful. There’s just something special about watching the aurora move across the sky.

The northern lights are out again tonight.
They’ve been showing up almost every clear evening lately — a gift from the Sun’s active cycle.
Even with the half moon 🌗shining, the aurora still glows bright across the sky.
It never gets old.

I’ve never been a fan of autumn and winter – the darkness, the cold, and eventually the snow.
But what gets me through this time of year is the chance to finally see the stars and northern lights again. ✨
And of course… magical autumn days like this, when nature’s colors truly come alive. 🍂

Had a wonderful hike today up on Stekenjokk, in the swedish mountains. We were only there for a day trip, but it was such a beautiful and peaceful place. My wife and our two dogs came along, making it even better.

Had a wonderful hike today up on Stekenjokk, in the swedish mountains. We were only there for a day trip, but it was such a beautiful and peaceful place. My wife and our two dogs came along, making it even better.

It's a Leptura quadrifasciata in latin. I don't know what it's called in english but in swedish it's called "Fyrbandad blombock"

We've had som thunder and rain during the day but the evening was magical.
And yes...we also caught a few small trouts. Dinner tonight 😀
