What crashes as it avoided?

So, *almost* as good as a human driver, but not quite yet?

Unless you're the wrong taxi company in the wrong part of Glasgow, but then you've only got yourself to blame.

It doesn't appear to. That's where the outside air temperature sensor is in my car (which is getting on for 30 years old, so this isn't a new idea) and it reads pretty accurately.

It will read high if you're sitting still on a cold day with the engine running for a while but not by much.

If it was played on the radio, the single edit is about four and a half minutes long so given 6 Music rates she ought to get about 20 quid every time it's played.

They don't make cars, though, so there's no confusion.

Ultravox used a CR78 when they were current, and got repeatable and accurate tempo from it by connecting a voltmeter to the tempo pot.

"What speed's this song at?" "7.6 volts!"

I spent ages trying to find someone in Finland who would register a domain name for me in Åland.

At one point I really really wanted to get citroen.ax ;-)
citroen.ax

"Use an LLM effectively" for what, though?

They don't do anything useful.

Obviously in this case you swap "wall" for "gazebo".

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.

Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Given a model A body tub, I'd drop it onto a Range Rover P38A chassis, mostly because I have a few lying about.

Wouldn't even need to bob the chassis, just give yourself more room for people to see that V8.

Polished stainless manifolds would be an obvious choice.

Looks like someone tried to model a Lamborghini Aventador for a PS2 game from memory.
January 21, 2026 at 12:07 PM
I would buy one today if it had >500km range and looked like a Series 2 Citroën CX.

When you gaze into the Abyss, you must ensure that it is at arm's length with the top at your eye level, clean, and free from glare.

I drove past that a couple of days ago for the first time in quite a lot of years. It's a shame to see it all boarded up.

I actually have a couple of 1940s Hovis tins, from their Dundee bakery.

It's what he does and he knows it.

It's almost like he's a hyper-competent arrogant prick.

Except by all accounts he's a really sound guy in real life, which is kind of how this all works.

If he's been an outside cat all his life, he's not going to like being kept inside.

You can look after him but let him be an outside cat.

Cats are not toys.

I'm not in England. I'm barely within a day's drive of England.

But I do go there.

Why are you pretending that there have ever been Muslim terrorists?

100% of terrorist attacks have been done by white Christians.

I planned to do similar with mine because the little gold contact wires never really worked that well.

What I was thinking was I'd just pick up something else with a longer keyboard and cut the keybed down.

Sorry, what's your point here?

Arseholes act like arseholes, and eventually the police are called, and that's... what, to you?

Have you never seen people who think they're being far cleverer than they really are before?
January 18, 2026 at 2:38 PM
he's playing with a doll!"

Yeah damn right my son knows how to look after a baby and tuck them up in bed. That's because I want him to grow up to be a *man*. Real men can do anything.

He's five now, quite a good cook, and knows how to use some modes on the washing machine I've never figured out.
