The really pathetic thing is that Congress probably would have given authorization if DJT had bothered to use them.

I keep getting my hopes up, only to be slapped down by the reality that Congress and the courts aren't going to stop the corruption.
It is hard to admit how many among us are truly greedy, racist, tribal or deluded.
I don't know how much more I can lower my expectations for humanity.

I learn from many things he says, but he gave me another eye rolling moment in the recent Pivot podcast I listened to (titled Holiday Spending). He was saying something along the lines that the First Lady role should be an attractive person. Seemed kinda shallow.

I think Christians tend to form groups by how they cherry pick the Bible. They can find a scripture to support or condemn practically any issue they want to confirm their biases.
They think claiming God agrees with them gives them credibility. When they invoke religion, I lower expectations.

IMO, Republicans have given us every reason to suspect they cheat. Elon has given us reason to suspect computerized election systems. Until they earn trust again (fat chance), critical elections need comprehensive bipartisan audits.
