My beautiful treasures from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social arrived in the mail today! Each piece is even more stunning in person than in the listings. Grateful to have found a shop with the option to convert earrings to clips for those of us without pierced ears. Makes a world of difference for me. 🌻

Okay, had to delete & repost because my alt-text had a typo- but what a beautiful combo of skeets. Their little teefs. What are they discussing?

This, for me, is the big one. People assume all sorts of shit even I open my mouth & my accent comes out. Learned that real quick when I studied abroad at Oxford. Southern accents are now shorthand for ignorance & racism. Unfortunately, that helps people think the problems are limited to the South.

My beloved @nclhllr.bsky.social has a fairy-obsessed toddler, so they've been making them. I was gifted with my fairysona for my birthday. 🧚‍♀️👸🏻

I am so deeply disappointed in you for this vote. Enjoy retirement, your legacy of public service to Michigan at the state & federal level down the tube because you wanted to keep the lights on for a Fascist. PS you'll find the fax I sent today since calls aren't returned.

Here's the fax I sent my senator. Tried to put all my Millennial meme energy into it to temper my rage. (No, the real fax did not have emojis. It had my actual name.)

This is a Dolly Parton collage I made a few years ago. Today is her 79th birthday. I hope y'all know how much she does for literacy. May her legacy outlive us all.

This is Sylvia Jolene. She's sorry the day was rough, but hopes it got better.

Ruminating on the death of my favorite author Dorothy Allison & how life-changing it was to discover work from a fellow Southern lesbian who grew up poor. Skin is my favorite collection, specifically her essay "A Question of Class." Read it in full here: www.historyisaweapon.com/defcon1/skin...

Looking at this picture of Sylvia, you'd never know she's afraid of absolutely everything (including her own farts). She still puts herself between us & any man, though. Gotta protect her mamas.
