And for my cis white straight brothers, I love you and I hope and trust you to find yours.

Thanks for this comment - it really resonates with me -- and I love a good stick figure. I'd go further to say that they are narratives - far more restrictive than say user stories, but still...

Thanks Niko - Especially now after all the signings, I am hopeful for Pedro - He has had flashes and frankly the rest of the team hasn't known what to do. I'm hopeful to see him in new formations surrounded by more dynamism. Now that everyone is discounting him, he has nothing but upside.

Nice job! Twas a nasty one today. 60% bombed out. I barely succeeded. Replete with an admitted red herring - a category with five correct answers. A bit annoying. Lookout for tomorrow and they'll have 16 barnyard animals with the categories - barnyard animals we thought of first, then second, etc.

Yes, though our safety doesn't inoculate us from responsibility nor does it preclude blowback. (see www.sevenstories.com/blogs/178-no...)
Noam Chomsky on 9-11 and U.S. Imperialism
In 9-11, published in November 2001 and arguably the single most influential post-9/11 book on the subject, internationally renowned thinker Noam Chomsky bridged the information gap around the Wo...

I trust that grownup readers are able to distinguish between "understandable hostility" and related actions however just or unjust. As many have pointed out, that Nat Turner was understandably hostile toward his enslavers doesn't shield him from scrutiny of his rebellion.

The historical belligerence toward Israel by many regional parties is only in part due to any sense of solidarity with Palestinians. This tragedy, however unjust in its own right, doesn't diminish the injustice of the generations long ongoing escalating tragedy perpetrated by Israel on Palestinians

At the core of why Israel is this way is that it has always been a colonial project. Colonization is inherently brutal. Israel from its inception has been led and by colonizers. In this sense it is not unique. The indigenous and colonized Palestinians are and have always been understadably hostile.

Agree completely. Definitely ranked them according to my ratings of them.

American Psycho isn't in the same league, but I like it a lot and it has some absolutely essential set pieces to watch. Plus Cristian Bale's performance is iconic.

Me too! I have been catching up on a lot of films over the last few months. For now, I'll share three that are bangers. Two of them are absolute classics.

1. Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)
2. The Apartment (1960)
3. American Psycho (2000)

No interest in BC&SK either

I love it too. This was a thing we used to talk about when I worked at GROUPON.com - REI was the first place I had heard about it.
