Well, I certainly misinterpreted. It's more realistic, sadly, and kind of a shame that a career employee had to take a stand and resign. I hope he is scooped up by a decent employer. Of course, it would be great if any Trump appointees actually showed that level of integrity.

Our tax dollars at work: the goal is to satisfy Trump's racist tendencies and to appease his base. Not much is being gained by the dog and pony show of force that couldn't be done more cheaply and with more intelligence.

School choice has always been about taking sorely-needed money from public schools and giving it to private or parochial schools. In reality, the quality of underachieving schools could be accomplished by improving the day-to-day lives of any students who are hungry, poor, or abused.

Shouldn't any such deal require the approval of Ukraine? Who are we and Russia to force the attacked country into a deal that benefits the attacker?

Agreed. The manipulative representation by Musk and DOGE (and of course, Trump) of statistics is really nothing but lies. They are trying to groom the public to accept the massive cuts to services and regular people, and then justify their massive tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. Crooks.
