We were really pleased to be joined by students from St Thomas More Primary School, who gave wonderful performances of Christmas songs and carols for everyone to enjoy. Afterwards, our special guests joined in a fun quiz followed by a round of bingo, teaming up with some of our students. (3/4)

Our guests enjoyed tea and coffee accompanied by a selection of sandwiches and sweet treats, all served by students from across the year groups. Festive songs performed by our Sixth Form students added a warm seasonal atmosphere. (2/4)

We had such a lovely time hosting our Festive Afternoon Tea for elderly residents from the local community on Friday. This was the second year we have held this special event, which was planned entirely by two of our dedicated Senior Students, Nicole W and Daniel M. (1/4)

Former students will remember using this route to walk to school before its closure in 2000. In addition, the area behind the former caretaker’s bungalow continues to be cleared and levelled in preparation for the installation of temporary classrooms. By this morning (Friday 5th Dec), the structures were completely removed, with only the final debris left to clear.
Elsewhere on site, work is progressing to widen and re-tarmac the former Bicester Road entrance. Once finished, it will reopen for site access for the first time in 25 years. (3/4)

These temporary classrooms – originally installed c1998 – had long outlived their intended lifespan. Some of our alumni may remember them as M5 and M6, with colleagues such as Mrs Davys, Mr Slater and Mr Brand teaching in them over the years, to name just a few. (2/4)

#NewBuildGHS It’s been a busy and exciting week on site as our new build project gathers momentum. On Tuesday, a large excavator arrived to begin the demolition of the redundant Maths terrapin on the former Maths playground. (1/4)

This role even included operating a large puppet and delivering a solo monologue that opened the second act. Johnathan described the experience as “incredible” and shared how special it felt to perform on the same stage as 'Phantom of the Opera'. Well done, Johnathan – we're proud of you! (3/3)

Johnathan took to the famous stage for an experience he'll never forget! In the first half of the show, he performed as part of the ensemble and in the second half, he stepped into a main role as Bailey – the fun and cheeky dog who guides the story’s heroes, The Voyagers, on their adventure. (2/3)

The children, with the help of their grown-ups, practised threading and sewing skills, carefully fluffed the stuffing to give their cats shape, and learned how to use fabric scissors safely to cut their fabric pieces. It was a lovely session full of creativity and teamwork. (2/4)

Our annual Remembrance Ceremony brought the whole school together yesterday to honour those who have fallen in conflict. The service featured a parade, a reading from Mr Sellars, and The Last Post performed beautifully by William G (Year 12). (1/2)
