Now this is a bit excessive if you ask me, but here we are.
My already discounted bundle – at half the price. I'll do the math for you: all my tools for only 30% of their original price!!

Could you please elaborate on this a bit? I'm working on a game that has a similar art style (pixel-art sprites in 3D) and I'm wondering what issues did you encounter on consoles with such setup? Did you have to optimize your shaders for the console in this regard?

You say:

“[...] some of the intricacies of console hardware got me scratching my head quite a bit. One example is that alpha clipping has very different performance characteristics on PC and console. This was major since it's an integral part of the art style with pixel-art sprites in 3D.”

Sounds like a great fit for another entry in my “Wright Files” series.

Because, obviously, it’s going to be series with “Egerton’s Pickle” being the first entry.

P.S.: Once it’s ready and playable. 🥁

P.P.S.: And, obviously, I have tons of ideas for plots in the series. 🥁🥁

The thing is that YT's automatic censorship algorithm is ridiculously prone to false-positives. Anecdotally, one polish online conference related to digital wellbeing of teenagers had its live stream taken down right after start because the first session was discussing teen suicides.

The Min-Max Probability Paradox:

Thereʼs a near-zero chance of human extinction as a result of an unforeseen cosmic cataclysm during our lifetime, but if that happens, itʼs almost certain that the apocalypse will find that one unlucky bastard with a jar up his bum.

Inspector Snide would certainly appreciate your contribution to bringing the mystery of “Murder on Park Lane” to a wider audience of readers. 🕵️‍♂️

If, like Lucas and me, you have nostalgic feelings for “The Detective” and enjoy crime novels (or are simply filled with nostalgia for the Commodore 64 era and retro games), consider supporting Lucasʼs campaign.

That someone is Lucas Lund, author of “Murder on Park Lane”, started in 2020 and published last year in Swedish. At the beginning of this month, Lucas launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to finance the translation of his novel into English.

As you may (or may not) know, my game started as a “love letter” to “The Detective” from Commodore 64. Shortly after beginning work, I discovered someone else who loves “The Detective” so much that he decided to write a novel based on it.

Lucas Lund is running a Kickstarter campaign to translate his Commodore 64-inspired novel “Murder on Park Lane” into English. If youʼre interested in retro gaming literature, consider checking out his project.

Interesting! Is it possible to bind those components in the editor? Also, would it be possible to bind them to signal tracks in cutscenes (i.e. as signal receivers)?

Yesterday I managed to release a new tool for Unity (making a trailer is always the hurdle). Thoughts?
