The so-called president WON'T put an end to this. We need people like you, Senator, to stand up and lead, despite the risks. We're behind you.

Senator, I don't get it. We are hurting. Never have I felt that the government (both parties) cared less about ordinary Americans.

And yet nothing beats your writing. Just spent 8 hours listening to *Needful Things* on a long drive. It's my second time through it. I'm again reminded of how you can hook together surprising turns of phrase as satisfying as a fast ball socked in a catcher's mitt.

The harm isn't just in the premium increase. The supposedly "clean" CR means I won't be able to get gender-affirming care right as I start Medicare, nor will any ACA plans reimburse gender care. I will have literally NO options. It's very clear to me that no one in Washington cares.

Senator @sanders.senate.gov, what do we do now? You're one of the few people in DC I actually respect, who seems to have a firm grasp of what's happening. From my point of view, both the legislative and judicial branches of the government have capitulated to the man who is king in all but name.

It's soul crushing. Anyone who does any form of storytelling that manages to see the light of day deserves high praise.
