Getting ready to make more yarns. The feathers are from my chickens of course and the shells are clam shells sent to me from a friend in Florida. She was sure I could find a use for them. Drilled a hole in the ends, added some beads and they are going into yarns. I love odd things. And they sell.

Rain today and tomorrow so I guess I’m stuck in the house for 2 days. Time to pull locks from my Teeswater sheep which will be washed and dyed then up for sale. My animals provide a huge chunk of income for me. And to think most people want to kill and eat them. Not me.

I did away with Kamala’s picture and put the real me up. I’m proud of being a white female farmer and don’t want to hide behind someone else’s picture. I did work in government though until I was let go because of not getting the shot. And I do fantastic with my farm.

I taught an art yarn spinning class at a local yarn shop. Most of the ladies were use to spinning smooth, two ply yarns so I really took them out of their comfort zone. They all did great and we had so much fun. Of course this was fiber from my sheep that was used. And dyed by me.

This is my cotswold, Baker. I lost him this past fall. He was the ripe old age of 23. A really old guy for a sheep. He provided me some wonderful fiber for yarn. None of my animals provide me with meat because I’m vegan. Every creature deserves to live a long, life like they do on my farm.
