New Mexico needs to do more to create affordable housing options—and we are. The new Pedrena Apartments that opened in Las Cruces this week will provide 80 seniors with a safe, modern place to call home. We’ll keep building opportunities like this until every New Mexican has a roof over their head.

When I ran for governor, I promised to make New Mexico more affordable to raise a family. Thanks to @voguemagazine.bsky.social for highlighting how universal child care delivers on that promise. Starting Nov. 1, no-cost care is reality. #UniversalChildCare

New Mexico lost a treasure yesterday. Florence Jaramillo, the heart of Rancho de Chimayó, passed away at 94.

Her love and legacy will live on in her family, her restaurant, and in all who had the joy of knowing her. May her memory be a blessing.

Child care can cost families up to $1,100 a month—but not in New Mexico. Starting Nov. 1, universal child care means parents can work, kids get the best start, and families keep more money in their pockets.

The abhorrent shooting of Charlie Kirk in Utah today is tragic and grossly un-American. We can disagree deeply, but violence is never the answer. I urge all Americans to choose respect and dialogue over hate and violence.
