I will attest to the fact that people are cared for in England and Ireland. Long ago, I landed in the ER in both countries and Ireland paid for a cab to get me back to the youth hostel where my backpack was.

This tree has a name, Big Ben. It is a massive Douglas Fir that was not taken when this ridge was clear-cut in the late 1800s. 3 miles down from this tree was a busy limestone kiln area. Wood was required to heat the kilns. Big Ben was spared. I am but an ant standing next to it. Respect.
