2- like I said- I DID NOT WRITE the article. You can read it yourself and send your corrections to the .org website that wrote it. It appears you wrote what you wrote because you just wanted to cut someone down who has no power. You write to me like I have to power to change the article.

1- yes very confusing- and look what I read that is even more confusing- FERC is federal yet- mainly regulated by the state, right? I don't recall seeing FERC mentioned in the article. Just the POTUS, the DOE and then the admin of energy, too? see 2 in the next comment-

Hey, I don't doubt how credible and intelligent you are but that seems to get in the way sometimes especially when the artcle's title specifies how the state of Washington ignored a federal order. It is even in the title- just say'n.

Well, I apologize cuz I didn't know that the DOE wasn't in charge of power plants. So, what does the DOE do then? The article does mention the DOE and DJT as the ones not wanting to close the power plant down...so...idk maybe you need to get on the person who wrote the article then?

Sorry, I will try to be more specific in my comments next time. I thought it was a given who was in charge of a plant that is for energy and uses coal. Plus, the article does state who wants to keep this coal plant open and it doesn't say the democrats.

Let me see if I understand this right- You took my comment as an "attack" on dems because I said "ppl in charge", right? I do not think the dems are in charge of the Dept of Energy or are they? That is super surprising to me since the repubs are the ones wanting to ramp up the coal and oil use.

I got bullied for wearing my mom's hand-me-downs (grandma kept her clothes from the 60's and 70s). Yup, we were pretty poor. Actually, I really don't recall going to a store with my family to buy clothes either. What a weird realization to just have. Maybe once a year when the tax check came in?

Glad energy companies are realizing what they have to do since the ppl put in charge really have no idea what they are doing.

Definitely going to be on the look out for changes in species range as well as any new species emerging.

sounds scary
January 16, 2026 at 5:37 PM
Dang, I never thought the oil companies would recognize they can't drill everywhere.
January 11, 2026 at 2:34 PM
Ya, building them will still cause great disturbance to ecosystems, but so does offshore drilling for oil and that is worse. It sucks because having both big oil (which drills more and the current admin is ramping it up even more) and then this, too, happening to our oceans. So, idk...

Now we got ppl saying stuff like "well, this kid wasn't in a crosswalk so I might as well hit them".....ewe.

Sure glad this town decided they don't want a mayor who has homeless ppl shot and killed.

Ya, I was thinking about ALL the information that is out there and how most don't want to read anything on climate change-well, except me and a few others out there. Why do I read it? Because it interests me. Most are simply not interested in the subject and driving their car is more fun, I guess.

Greed makes ppl say real dumb things to get what they want. Reminds me of how addicts act. I wonder what they will keep saying when hurricanes and tornados get more strong and frequent and most of their customer/employee base is dead or sick.

Ya, I am proud that I have never owned a car actually. But the societal pressure to get one has been in my face for years now. My last bike got stolen- but I am fine with walking and the bus now. I love walking so much now, it is weird. I prefer to take life slow anyways-if I can.

...pay $250 for this ticket...how will I ever own a car since it is already so hard for me to save for one on a restaurant workers wages? Cars- the rich want everyone driving one because it makes them more $$, but also if ya don't got one well, they want to still take your $$ so you can't get one!
