I think similarly in relation to the UK, but economics have and Supply Chains have globalised. I don't think American workers would stomach the salaries offered - and with all the tariffs, raw material costs would soar - the days of ultra consumerism have departed, well maybe not a bad thing.

.......nor do American workers want the same sort of salary as is given to those workers in factories in economically undeveloped nations......well, unless you want to pay triple figures for a shirt. The days of cheap tat are over !!
