Birding Grafham Water from Aug 1997 (236 for the patch) | WeBS counter | Cambs List 302 (233 self-found) | Former County Recorder | terrible photographer
Maybe! Now 9 new individuals this year. The change in status of this species at Grafham Water since 2005 in fascinating. I’m not sure what the driver is behind it…. Updated data as of today.

Here and Draycote. 4 is a good count. We’ve had 4 at the same time before now, and 6 during one winter. We’ve had at least 8 different birds this year already.

I don’t think anyone would miss her if she wanted to stay at home….

Nice one. The divers must have dropped in sometime this afternoon as they weren’t there this morning on a very flat reservoir.

Not sure it’s a regular site, but the numbers in the county continue to increase and spread.

The “pale” was viewable for a few seconds at a time, so I don’t think it was blinking (and therefore the eyelids). It seemed to come and go with the birds position to the sun, so I assume it was the sun reflecting off the retina. I saw other photos today which seem to confirm a dark eye.

The Indian Golden Oriole is still with BOURC for consideration, so it isn’t published in the latest BBRC report.
