My name is Graham Platner and I’m running for US Senate to defeat Susan Collins and topple the oligarchy that’s destroying our country.

I’m a veteran, oysterman, and working class Mainer who’s seen this state become unlivable for working people. And that makes me deeply angry.

VA healthcare saved my life. It allowed me to build my business.

In the richest country on Earth, we can guarantee decent healthcare for all.

"On Saturday, Platner brought his pitch to Collins’ hometown. Hosting a town hall at the American Legion Post 15 — situated one block from the senator’s Caribou office — Platner said, 'Maine deserves better than Susan Collins.'"

Senator Sanders is right. We need more working-class candidates.

One day. Five hundred miles. Three town halls in small town Maine. Four hundred people.

We will leave no person and no place behind.

People are being robbed. The answer to that is not shame or anger.

The answer is empathy and compassion.

My wife and I are trying to have kids. We're looking at the cost of childcare. Frankly, it's a nightmare.

Young people struggling with the financial realities of starting a family in this country deserve a voice in the Senate. I promise you, I will fight for universal childcare.

This campaign is about fighting for every Mainer, including my old pal Frank.

We're not just packing our town halls. We're packing our volunteer meetings. Without a huge staff, without even a candidate, our people are organizing from Bath to Camden to Rumford and everywhere in between.

This is how we defeat Susan Collins. This is how we win.

I have neither the time nor the patience for Republican attacks on veterans.

We must pass a billionaire minimum tax that establishes a baseline tax rate that the super-rich cannot go under.

It's time to tax the rich.

The top 1% in the US have now a record $52 trillion in wealth.

The bottom 50% have about $4 trillion.

We held our third town hall last night in Rockport, Maine – Population: 3,644.

When we booked the venue six weeks ago, we were looking for somewhere with space for 35 to 50 people.

Imagine our surprise when over 900 people showed up to hear how we're going to defeat Susan Collins.

Over the years Susan Collins has made it crystal clear that she does not care how many people lose access to healthcare, and this week she shut down the government instead of voting to let Mainers get the care they need.

It’s despicable.

Our healthcare system in Maine is collapsing.

Six weeks.

Average contribution: $31.

And not a single corporate PAC.

"Plenty of candidates can talk about the problems. What makes Graham’s campaign and message unique to me is that he puts we the people at the center of making an economy and democracy that work for working people."

I served with the National Guard in Afghanistan.

American cities are not “training grounds.”

What a disgusting concept.

Trump to top military officials: "I told Pete, we should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military. National Guard, but our military. Because we're going into Chicago very soon. That's a big city with an incompetent governor. Stupid governor."

Democrats must push to restore all Medicaid and Medicare cuts.

Despite everything, I remain hopeful.

I still believe we can build a better system—one that topples the elites who strangle our government. A politics of the working class, by the working class, for the working class. A new future is still possible.

Almost nobody my age or younger has a real shot at owning a home.

We need to ban hedge funds and private equity from buying homes, restore federal support for building housing, and expand VA-style home loans so working people can actually afford to own where they live.

Happy to report The Hearts won: 1-0.

We are fighting for the freedom to have time to build, to create, to love, and to live lives not of just survival, but of fulfillment and joy.

I made a couple of new friends this week—Teddy and Rowyn. This campaign isn’t just about the moment we’re in; it’s about building a better future for them.

Last night: Over a thousand Mainers got drenched in Portland.

We’re building a movement, and nobody — not Susan Collins, not Chuck Schumer — is going to stop us.
