A blue-faced honey-eater, another of the locals. These wonderful birds are important pollinators in Australia, often referred to as banana birds as they frequent banana plantations when they're in flower.

They are cooperative breeders, meaning juvenile birds often help raise their younger siblings.

Another local, this one's special skill is looking like a stick. The Tawny frogmouth is found in most parts of Australia except the desert, and is often mistaken for an owl.

I'm no expert on mushrooms, but I think this is Microporus Xanthopus. I found them on a walk during the break in the rain today.

Sometimes life gets chaotic and social media needs to take a back seat, but I'm back for a bit at least. Here's a lovely waterfall I found in Oregon late last year.

Fallen Redwood detail.

This is a fallen giant redwood in Humboldt Redwoods State Park, the trunk snapped due to it landing on the trunk of another fallen tree. I imagine the sound of the trunk shattering must have been deafening.

A bit of a departure from landscapes for #throwbackthursday. These images are from the George Floyd protests in Kansas City. I fear we'll be seeing more scenes like this in opposition to the Trump regime in the future.

Cathedral Falls, West Virginia. The first time I visited these falls, there was barely a trickle. A couple of days later it rained, this is the result...

My time in the Lake District was all too brief, plans are already being formulated for a return.
