📖 New paper on the SCeTCH study:

🚬 Smoking prevalence among people experiencing homelessness is high. The NIHR-funded SCeTCH study explored factors which influenced potential smoking abstinence.

Twenty years today since (as a 25 year old still finishing up my MSc in UoBristol), I crossed the Severn bridge, and relocated to Wales after getting a Research Assistant job in Cardiff Uni. A lot can change in 20 years, in and out of work!

I think what a lot of these unsuccessful interventions have in common is that they are about changing kids within schools, rather than changing the school itself. The school becoming a channel for reaching lots of kids, rather than the school environment itself being a target for intervention.
