In a lot of like, Lovecraft-adjacent/pulp fiction, you have these cults that are trying to bring some eldritch god into the world, convinced it will make them powerful and wont just consume them and destroy everything. I was always skeptical of those plots and I'd think "who would join that cult?"

There are literally not enough journalists employed in the US to cover the bad shit that is happening right now. We are now going to experience the social consequences of a weakened news industry--which are the same as the benefits of a weakened news industry, to those who weakened it.

i would give the reporter some grace. he’s totally solid and these places don’t let reporters write the headlines.
Its not a fucking odd looking hand gesture, that was a Nazi Salute, a Seig Heil. Media has to do better, we have historical lessons we can pull from, rather than make the same mistakes of the past. Outlets and reporters cannot afford to be pushovers or brown nosers.
