I love hiking. I love getting out and seeing all the beautiful places on the Southwest; but, I'm especially fond of the Grand Canyon and the Wave. Cheers everyone. Let's make America kind again!
Some views are worth the hike. I hiked down to Phantom Ranch Friday. South Kaibab was busy from the top to the bottom. Hiked back up South Kaibab on Saturday and the trail was busy from the bottom to the top. Boat Beach was packed. The new water/ treatment plant is coming along nicely.

I took my nephew to the Wave. The kid always gets the girl no matter where he's at.

I've always wondered why a guy would take a briefcase to the Wave. I never saw him open it. He just carried it around.

Those clouds to the left let loose about 5 minutes after I took this picture on a hot July day at the Wave. Right before the storm everything started glowing, then boom the monsoon rolled through. It was intense.

This is the first helicopter I've caught flying in front of the moon. The full moon occupies roughly 1/129,600 of the sky, or 0.00077%, so it's hard to chance something flying in front of it.

We should all bridge the gaps between us and do everything we can to make America kind again. This is the Black Bridge going over the Colorado River November 11, 2024. The water was green and beautiful. The hike down was amazing. Everyone was kind. Everyone looks after each other.

I did a Rim2Rim back in May. By the time I made it to the top of the North Rim that day, it was snowing!

All the water on the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon come from Roaring Springs.

Stopped by to see an old friend back in June: Lower Yellowstone Falls.

When I'm sipping my morning coffee at Phantom Ranch, mentally preparing for the walk up Bright Angel, it is hard not to envy those who get to ride up.

I ran into a father and his young son hiking down South Kaibab Trail on Tuesday holding hands and breathing in the grandeur of the Grand Canyon.
