Reading Freely means it should be your choice to read the materials you wish. Whether it's learning about others just like you, or learning about things/people from a different perspective, there's something for everyone. In a library if you don't like one book, you can always select something else.

Bookmarks from our summer coloring contest have been printed and are now available in the library! They turned out so good, we are so proud of our winners AND all those that participated this year (we had roughly 100 submissions)! While supplies last ❤️🎨📚

We are happy to partner with the Barry-Eaton District Health Department by providing GL residents a Harm Reduction & Health Resource Access Point at GLADL. The Station offers Narcan/Naloxone - an overdose reversal treatment, fentanyl/xylazine drug testing strips, medication disposal bags, and more.

The "Lord of the Gourd" is here until 5pm demonstrating his amazing sculptural skills by carving watermelons! You can ask him for tips and tricks, carve your own watermelon rine to take home, and have a sweet snack provided by our local SRP Sponsor, Walmart! 🍉🎃

If you plan on attending our 2pm event "The Colors of Magic with Baffling Bill!" at Delta Center Elementary today, we have a bit of info we wish to share. If the parking lot in front of DCE is full, there is a secondary lot which can be accessed via the driveway on W. Michigan Ave.

Our Tiny Art Show is all set up and ready for you to vote for your favorites during the month of July! We have two types of art this year, "My Favorite Painter" (Acrylics / Mixed Media on Canvas) and "Colorful Cats" (Air-dry Clay painted with Acrylics / Mixed Media)!

Our Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party is today from 11am - 1pm! The first 200 kids coming to the party will get a free color change cup along with other crafts & goodies! Local chalk artist Ryan Holmes will also be here today! Watch as he creates colorful Sidewalk Coloring Book for kids ❤️🎨

Come get creative at LEGO-Palooza tonight (Thursday April 24) from 6pm - 7pm! Each child will get a tray of LEGO bricks and the challenge is to build their most fantastic creation from those bricks. Parents are welcome to join in too! Some Duplo bricks will be available for younger children to use.

We are having a Potato Derby this Saturday (Feb 15) from 12pm - 3pm! Race your decorated potato vehicle against other potatoes to see which vehicle is the fastest.

Registration is required, and potatoes are supplied by the library. Stop in today to register and pick up your potato! Ages 5+.

Are you a parent / caregiver with a baby 18 mo. or younger? If yes, join us this Sat Feb 8 from 3pm - 4pm for "Baby Stories & Play"! We’ll read a story, sing together, and have fun while learning & playing. We’ll end with time for adults to socialize and babies to play & interact with each other.
