I've drawn the Titanic a hilarious amount of times since 1997
A small sample of drawings, on lines paper and sketch paper and newspaper and watercolor paper, drawing after drawing after drawing of the Titanic - some of my earliest drawings from 1997 and 1998 - This is just a handful of the dozens that my dad found and sent to me back in 2020. A drawing of Thomas Andrews jr (right) and J. Bruce Ismay (left) walking in front of the Titanic in her slip at Harland & Wolff, the art is in graytones with a smattering of blue sky at the top. A splash page from my defunct webcomic, "Admiral" depicting the Titanic sinking, going down by the head, a few lifeboats are already in the water. A distress rocket bursts above the wreck, illuminating the area slightly.

The only distinction between sea and sky are stars. Titanic in Cobh (formerly Queenstown) harbor, 1912. The stern of the ship overshadows a tender ship by it's stern. Smoke billows from another, hidden tender at Titanic's bow. The sky is cloudy and the ocean is a cool blue gray.

Worst part is they pretended to stop and just drive away

@metrolosangeles.bsky.social what the heck! Bus 19516 just blew right past a crowd of passengers at Reseda station.

They were, from what I’m playing around with, produced anywhere between 1949 and 1952. That kinda tech was just not in US transit yet. It’s either big key system/PRR pantographs, or smaller versions seen in Cleveland or Boston

A lil' somethin' from a project that I am cooking up!

Based entirely on the art design of the 1948 Rapid Transit Now study.
grandpabento.bsky.social
And that ain’t even the full story since, according to Pantograph, multiple buses are over 10 min late with many being closer to 30 min late
grandpabento.bsky.social
@metrolosangeles.bsky.social what was the point of NextGen if our buses are still just as unreliable as before
grandpabento.bsky.social
I FINALLY GOT ONE!!! These are so noice!! 🚇
grandpabento.bsky.social
@metrolosangeles.bsky.social how is there a 20 min lull in G line service at 6 PM??
grandpabento.bsky.social
From what I remember of this plan, it was to be a 4 track mainline (2-RR, 2 for the PE)
grandpabento.bsky.social
Just put in my Metro Arts application, wish me luck 😵‍💫
grandpabento.bsky.social
I ain’t got the attention span to track all those plot points 😵‍💫
grandpabento.bsky.social
I am putting together my application for this >:)

Working on getting my 1937 Pacific Electric map updated to make printing easier so I can finally make a little shop!

If anyone has any recs on where to host it, please give me all the advice, I'll need it 😤
grandpabento.bsky.social
It’s true, especially in cities and states like ours that needs such a drastic policy shift that currently doesn’t happen
grandpabento.bsky.social
WAIT DOOD WHAT??

Im like a ghost, I quietly sweep in, do what I gotta do, then poof 😅

How was the chat? I agree with some tho I do know that a lot of it has to be adjusted for the city
grandpabento.bsky.social
I fucking hate this. No reason from @metrolosangelesbot.bsky.social on why the nest G line to NoHo is over 20 min late

to anyone who's tried to get me into anything, i'm sorry
What you need to understand about recommending a show to me is that no matter how much we both know I'll like it, I can't watch it until the Neurodivergence Department in my brain approves it. I don't know when that will be, and I don't have any more control over it than you do.

AHHHH Thank you! And its honestly my pleasure! Keep up the good work! :D
